In January the third, fourth and fifth grade classes of St. Michael’s Academy in Warrenton held a Crossroads Connection Blue Bag food drive.
The students were moved by the opportunity to help kids who needed food. One child said, “This is the best school day ever.”
Students representing each class offered a prayer for the children we serve that they would not be hungry and for Crossroads to flourish.
This is yet another example of kids helping kids in our community. This is one of the real gifts of Crossroads Connection. The school indicated they plan to do another food drive this school year.
They collected 2,500 food items shown here with Linda Zembower and Kristi Mutschelknaus. They asked very thoughtful questions about the Crossroads operation. They even helped carry the food out and packed our cars.
